First, there are 2 main manga update site that you should check:

www.manga.baka-updates.com
www.manganews.net

Baka-updates manga is quite new, so it is quite hard to find older release. Use manganews or dailymanga to find older manga.

Usually u need to go to the scanalation group's irc channel to get the manga. Most of them are located at IRCHighWay (irc://irc.irchighway.net)
But sometime they do provide direct download or torrent. So, remember to check their site or channel topic.
